CONCORD—Today, the New Hampshire House of Representatives passed SB 206 on the consent calendar. This bill passed the New Hampshire Senate unanimously in March and would exclude the cost of lobbying and political activity from the rates of public utilities.

Prime sponsor Senator Dan Feltes (D-Concord) released the following statement after the vote:

“New Hampshire energy ratepayers can’t afford to subsidize political activity. I applaud today’s House vote in support of SB 206, which is a common sense, nonpartisan reform that will make sure the costs of lobbying, candidate contributions, and inaugural slush funds are not part of Granite Staters’ energy bills.”
