New Hampshire Ranked #1 for Highest Average Daily Rate of COVID Cases Per Capita

CONCORD – Today, according state and local health agency data compiled by The New York Times, New Hampshire was ranked number one in the country for the highest average rate of daily COVID-19 cases per capita.
Senator Tom Sherman (D-Rye) issued the following statement in response:
“It is heart wrenching as we head into the holidays to see families - 22 yesterday alone - continue to lose loved ones at a record rate due to COVID as our Governor Sununu celebrates his decisions that will allow further spread of COVID-19 to our most vulnerable populations. We all want our lives to get back to normal, but the reality is New Hampshire is now the national leader in the average rate of daily COVID cases per capita. The Governor and his administration’s overall inaction and insistence on measures that impede our ability to respond to this continued crisis is resulting in Granite Staters and their families ultimately paying the price.”
