Biography
Senator Jay Kahn is serving his second term representing Senate District 10. For the 2019-2020 legislative session, he serves as the chairman of the Education and Workforce Development Committee and is a member of the Finance Committee.
Senator Kahn has 43 years of experience in higher education leadership and public finance - 28 of them at Keene State College. He earned his BA in Communications with minors in Psychology and Education at the University of Illinois and his PhD. in Political Science – Public Policy Analysis at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Senator Kahn lives in Keene with his wife, Cheryl. He has two children - David and Denise - and two grandchildren - Joshua and Andrew Terra.
