Senate Votes Unanimously to Increase DCYF Staffing Levels

CONCORD—Today the New Hampshire Senate passed SB 6-FN, which addresses the current staffing shortage at DCYF and finally bring caseload levels in line with the national standard. The legislation appropriates funds to hire an additional 57 caseworkers and 20 supervisory staff over the next two years.

Senator Morgan, prime sponsor of SB 6-FN, released the following statement after the vote:

“As a father, I know there’s no responsibility more important than protecting our children. With today’s bipartisan passage of SB 6-FN, the Senate took the next step to truly ensure the safety and wellbeing of our New Hampshire’s most vulnerable citizens by finally bringing DCYF staffing levels in line with the national standard.”
