Senator Dietsch Introduces Property Tax Benefit for Active Duty Military

CONCORD - Today, Senator Jeanne Dietsch (D-Peterborough) introduced SB 516 to the Senate Election Law and Municipal Affairs Committee. SB 516, if enacted, would establish a standard property tax credit for active duty military personnel, with an option for municipalities to increase it, should they choose.

After the hearing, prime sponsor Senator Jeanne Dietsch (D-Peterborough) issued the following statement:

“We recognize our veterans’ service with property tax credits. Our active duty service members and their families deserve the same recognition, especially if members are serving overseas. I look forward to working with my colleagues on this legislation.”
