CONCORD, NH— Today, the Senate Transportation Committee conducted their first remote public hearing. The hearing, chaired by Senator David Watters (D-Dover) consisted of a bipartisan omnibus naming amendment, co-sponsored by Senator Watters and Senator Regina Birdsell (R-Hampstead). The amendment unanimously passed through committee.

After the hearing, Senate President Donna Soucy (D-Manchester) issued the following statement:

“Today was a victory for all Granite Staters. Through bipartisan efforts, the Senate Transportation Committee took the first steps in moving forward with legislation that had been delayed by the coronavirus outbreak. As we continue to conduct remote public hearings and work towards in-person session days, we are dedicated to completing the work we were elected to do in a way that protects the health and safety of all.”
