CONCORD - Today, SB 166, a critical piece of renewable energy legislation, was signed into law.

Prime sponsor of SB 166, Senate Majority Leader Dan Feltes (D-Concord), issued the following statement in response:

“Today, through the perseverance of the Legislature, we took a significant step in expanding renewable energy in New Hampshire. SB 166 is critical renewable energy legislation that both opens up further opportunities for community renewable power and ensures that customer generators, including those with solar installations, get treated fairly in the competitive market. Although Governor Chris Sununu has vetoed nine pieces of clean energy legislation over the last two years, his signature today on SB 166 builds off of two of my prime sponsored bills from last year, SB 286 (community power) and SB 165 (community solar).”
