CONCORD – Today, in a party line vote of 14-10, Senate Republicans voted Ought to Pass on HB 71, a bill that prohibits the superior court from allowing special school meetings for a collective bargaining agreement that was voted down at the regular meeting.

After the vote, Senator Sue Prentiss (D-West Lebanon) issued the following statement:

“HB 71 is an unnecessary bill that does nothing but limit local control. New Hampshire already has codified guidance and court oversight regarding special meetings. I am disappointed that my Republican colleagues decided to support this piece of government overreach.”
