CONCORD – On Thursday, October 7th, the Senate Special Committee on Redistricting will hold their next meeting at the Lancaster County Superior Courthouse at 6PM where they will receive public testimony on the redistricting process. A recent meeting of the Committee was postponed following an anti-vaccine protest at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics. The upcoming meetings are as follows:

  • Thursday 10/07 6pm Lancaster County Superior Courthouse 55 School Street, Suite 301 Lancaster, NH 03584

  • Tuesday 10/12 6pm Keene County Hall 12 Court Street, Keene, NH 04341

  • Wednesday 10/13 6pm Claremont CSB Community Center - Room B 152 South Street, Claremont, NH 03743

  • Thursday 10/14 6pm North Conway Kennett High School 409 Eagles Way, North Conway, NH 03860

Senate Democratic Leader Donna Soucy (D-Manchester) and Senator Rebecca Perkins Kwoka (D-Portsmouth) issued the following statement on the upcoming meetings:

“Public input is crucial to ensuring a fair and transparent redistricting process. We have consistently heard calls from the public to provide remote options for delivering testimony during hearings and that additional meetings should be scheduled after the maps are drafted and published. Despite the Speaker’s repeated denial of these requests, we will continue to advocate for public access throughout the hearing process. Until that time, we continue to encourage the civil and respectful public engagement in the democratic process we have seen in prior meetings, and we look forward to hearing additional testimony.”
