Senate Finance Committee Reinstates Funding for Child Advocacy Centers

CONCORD – Today, the Senate Finance Committee approved a motion from Senator Cindy Rosenwald (D-Nashua) to reinstate funding for the state’s Child Advocacy Centers (CACs). State funding for the CACs had previously been zeroed out in Governor Sununu’s budget proposal.
After the vote, Senator Cindy Rosenwald (D-Nashua) issued the following statement:
“I am extremely grateful that my colleagues on the Senate Finance Committee recognized the critical role our Child Advocacy Centers play in the protection of abused and neglected children. Defunding our CACs was an irresponsible and dangerous decision by Governor Sununu and I am proud that the Senate was able to correct the issue.”
