CONCORD – Today, the majority of Senate Republicans voted to send SB 413, Senator Cindy Rosenwald’s (D-Nashua) bill to require an independent audit and needs assessment regarding COVID-19 preparedness at long term care facilities, nursing homes, and the New Hampshire veterans' home, to interim study.

After the vote, prime sponsor Senator Cindy Rosenwald (D-Nashua) issued the following statement:

“The COVID-19 pandemic had an absolutely devastating impact on the residents of the New Hampshire Veterans Home, including the deaths of 36 of our veterans. We should be doing absolutely everything we can to ensure the health and safety of those individuals who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedom. I am extremely disappointed that my Republican colleagues did not consider the long-term care and protection of our veterans a worthy use of federal funds.”
