CONCORD - Today, Senate President Chuck Morse (R-Salem) introduced SB 13 to the Senate Ways and Means committee which has the possibility to negatively affect state revenues for the next biennium.
After the hearing, Senator Lou D'Allesandro (D-Manchester) issued the following statement:
"Over the years we have reduced the BPT a number of times, proving our willingness to support businesses. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has left the stability of our state revenues in question. Now is not the time to make unnecessary changes that would only benefit a small number of New Hampshire businesses while affecting revenues. I would urge my colleagues to make the fiscally responsible choice and reject this legislation."
