CONCORD – Today, Senator Sue Prentiss (D-West Lebanon) introduced SB 115 to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. SB 115 establishes greenhouse gas emission reduction goals for the state and establishes a climate action plan.
After the hearing, Senator Sue Prentiss (D-West Lebanon) issued the following statement:
“If left unchecked, the global climate crisis will have devastating effects on New Hampshire’s residents, economy, and environment. SB 115 works to address climate change head on by developing a climate action plan to reduce statewide greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050. The protection and preservation of our environment falls to each and every one of us. I am proud to introduce SB 115 and help move New Hampshire forward towards a more sustainable future.”
