CONCORD – Today, the Senate Health and Human Services Committee unanimously voted Ought to Pass with Amendment on SB 422, Senator Cindy Rosenwald’s (D-Nashua) bill to extend a dental benefit to adults in the Medicaid program.
After the vote, prime sponsor Senator Cindy Rosenwald (D-Nashua) issued the following statement:
“In my 18 years in the legislature, creating an adult Medicaid dental benefit has always been a bipartisan goal. SB 422 will help adults enrolled in Medicaid to gain critical access to dental care. This expansion will improve the health of the adult Medicaid population, save money upstream on other health treatments, and improve the employability and financial mobility for those enrolled in the program. I am proud of the collaborative work that went into crafting this bill and appreciate the bipartisan support for SB 422.”
