CONCORD – Today, Senator Cindy Rosenwald (D-Nashua) introduced SB 72, the “Taxpayer Rescue Act of 2021,” to the Senate Finance Committee in an effort to provide much-needed property tax relief to Granite Staters at a time when they need it most.
After the hearing, prime sponsor Senator Cindy Rosenwald (D-Nashua) issued the following statement:
“The Taxpayer Rescue Act of 2021 is one of the most important pieces of legislation we will act on this year. It represents $53 million in property tax relief, if passed. Failure to pass this critical legislation will force property taxpayers to bear financial burdens caused by the state’s failure to keep its promise and share this cost. Our constituents and our economy need relief now more than ever, and it is critical that we provide this much-needed assistance for taxpayers.”
